JENNELY PICHARDO

Jennely Pichardo is a current Brooklyn-raised Dominican filmmaker who graduated from City College of New York's Film and Video Production Program in 2022. Though her art expresses a wide variety of themes, her main goal as a filmmaker are to highlight the lives of her family and neighbors, which she considers to be everyone in Brooklyn. Emphasizing not just their pain, but their beauty as well. She believes, "We are all roses growing through the cracks of the sidewalks in underfunded and stigmatized neighborhoods. Our cultures and experiences deserve to be celebrated too."
